Ling Li Memorial Graduate Scholarship

Ling Li was an international student from Mainland China. She was preparing for her doctoral dissertation in Education and planning to graduate in 2005 from the University of Missouri – St. Louis when she died in an automobile accident at the age of 31. Ling Li was interested in educational technology to support student learning and in cross cultural research in teacher preparation. She was the president of the Chinese Student Association-Mainland at UM-St. Louis where she dedicated herself to this organization and others. Ling Li was an open, passionate, and warm-hearted young woman and an outstanding young student who will be missed by many. Ling was awarded the Ph.D. in Education posthumously at a ceremony attended by members of her family.

Scholarship Criteria

  1. Recipients of this scholarship will be graduate students in the College of Education.
  2. Preference will be given to doctoral students.
  3. Candidates shall have a minimum GPA of 3.25 and be in good standing with the College of Education and the Graduate School.
