Nancy S. Abel Scholarship
Nancy S. Abel always wished that she had gone to college. When she was a young girl in the 1940s, the opportunities for someone like her living in a small town were very few. She wanted so much more for her own children and pushed them hard to excel in school so that they could go to college. The Abel family was very lucky and able to send all three of their children to the college of their choice. This scholarship is in honor of their mother, Nancy. She would be so happy to know that a deserving student will be able to attend UMSL.
